Don't Miss the State Fair Weed ID Contest

If you are planning to be at the Iowa State Fair on Friday, August 8, be sure to stop by the Agricultural Building and compete in the State Fair Weed ID Contest. The contest is open from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with winners announced at 3:00 p.m.

Photo. Check your weed knowledge. What plant is this?

There are three divisions, including youth (under 18), general, and professional. Monetary awards will be presented for each. Participants are required to identify live specimens of important Iowa weeds.
