A self-paced online course is now available for commercial pesticide applicators who need to attend a 2020 recertification program for categories 7C (Fumigation) and 10 (Research and Demonstration). This online course is also available to private pesticide applicators certified to apply fumigants. Applicators must attend a CIC in each of the three years of their renewal cycle to renew their certification by training,
The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program offers the training through the Extension Store through December 31, 2020. For more information and to register for the course, visit https://store.extension.iastate.edu/product/16046.
Pesticide applicators may also renew their certification by passing an exam administered by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS). Testing schedules and locations can be found at https://iowaagriculture.gov/pesticide-bureau/pesticide-applicator-testing.
