Soil Fertility Short Course Offered at Iowa State

With high input costs and volatile nutrient prices it's more important than ever to make sound management soil fertility decisions. A two-day short course focusing on principles of soils, soil fertility and nutrient management will be offered by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach for crop production professionals. The short course will include a visit to the ISU Soil and Plant Analysis Laboratory.

The Soil Fertility and Nutrient Management Short Course will be held Feb. 15-16 in the Scheman Continuing Education Building on the Iowa State campus in Ames. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. with classwork beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m. on Feb 16. Registration is limited to 40 participants and pre-registration is required. The program brochure and registration form are available online at: www.aep.iastate.edu.

The cost of the course is $275. Registration and fees must be received by Feb. 8; registrations will not be accepted at the door. The fees cover a reference notebook, lunches and breaks.
