Area corn and soybean crops received considerable damage from last week’s heavy winds and hail. This damage ranged from bent plants to fields completely stripped of leaves, resulting in major economic and harvesting challenges. To help farmers and landowners address these and other storm related issues, the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach offices in Jones and Linn counties will be holding a free public informational meeting. 

ISU Extension Specialists will be on hand to share ideas on how to handle and harvest storm damaged crops, insurance, storage, and grazing considerations.

There is no cost to attend and no pre-registration is required.
