Higher fertilizer prices and the current crop prices have increased the importance of making informed nutrient management decisions. Join extension field agronomist Meaghan Anderson and extension farm management specialist Patrick Hatting for a hands-on workshop designed to help producers, crop advisers, and agricultural lenders understand fertilizer cost trends and how to develop a fertility plan that maximizes return on investment.

The workshop will cover soil test interpretation, fertility planning for phosphorus, potassium and lime management, fertilizer budgeting, and strategies to get the most value from every fertilizer dollar. Producers are encouraged to bring their most recent soil test results to use during the workshop.

Registration 

Cost is $60 per person, and pre-registration is requested by August 24, 2026. To pre-register, please complete the online registration form. You can pay ahead of the meeting by cash/check at the Dallas County or Boone County Extension offices. Payment via credit card can also be made at the Boone County Extension office.
