Weeds got you down this summer? Come to the Weed Science Field Day!

Weeds have been a continual challenge in recent years, but this year has to have been one of the most challenging in recent memory. We've heard of numerous issues: dry soil conditions, herbicide drift and intense winds, preemergence herbicide injury, sprayer clean-out problems, waterhemp control issues with preemergence and postemergence herbicides. How do we better manage some of these challenges that don't seem to be going away?

Join us from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, July 2 at the Curtiss Research Farm at 2219 State Ave., Ames, IA to hear from our new weed scientist, Dr. Wes Everman, about topics like improving herbicide efficacy, application timing, and new technology to better manage weeds. This is also a great opportunity to get your weed management questions answered!

Learn more about the field day in this news release! This field day is available at no cost to attendees, but please contact Meaghan Anderson this week to register by email at mjanders@iastate.edu or phone at 319-331-0058.
