What: A survey about farmers’ crop insurance decisions, led by Iowa State University researchers in collaboration with researchers at Kansas State University, Michigan State University, and University of Illinois—Urbana-Champaign, with funding support from USDA.

Purpose: The Federal Crop Insurance Program is a key program for U.S. agriculture, covering over 120 ag commodities over 280 million acres annually during 2000-2020. The survey’s purpose is to understand farmers’ crop insurance decisions with the purpose of helping them make the best of this program for their operation.

Details: The survey takes about 30 minutes to complete. It has 6 sections of questions about crop insurance usage, crop insurance decisions in given scenarios and basics of farm operation.

Honorarium: An Amazon gift card for your reward will be sent to the email address you provide in the survey. You should expect to receive this reward, $71 on average (ranging $50-$99), within a week of survey completion.
