Safety First with Anhydrous Ammonia

On Friday, March 28, 2025 I received my first report of injury caused by exposure to anhydrous ammonia. A hose was pinched and broken while the applicator was turning and the operator was not properly prepared.

Angie Rieck-Hinz and Josh Michel wrote an excellent article on anhydrous ammonia safety, which can be viewed here. The context is with Fall applications, but the same rules apply to Spring applications.
