The 15th Annual Iowa Organic Conference will be held Nov. 22-23 on the University of Iowa campus in Iowa City, as a joint effort between Iowa State University and the University of Iowa Office of Sustainability. Producers and experts from across the country will share tips for transitioning into organic production and methods to enhance organic operations.
President Obama brought national attention to Iowa organic production with a visit to MogoOrganic in April. Now ISU organizers are bringing producers and experts from across the nation to speak at the 10th Annual Iowa Organic Conference Nov. 22 in Ames.
For three weeks in May, producers can applying to receive funds for organic conversion assistance.

The publication by Kathlene Delate, Craig Chase and John Kennicker outlines planting and fertility requirements, variety selection, management issues, harvesting, storage and handling of the crop.
