N-FACT, the Nitrogen Fertilizer Application Consultation Tool, is Iowa State University's dynamic decision support tool for understanding how management, weather, location, and prices impact a corn crop's optimum nitrogen rate. This episode will introduce N-FACT with an in-depth look at each user input into the calculator (location, previous crop, precipitation, post-harvest soil nitrate, planting date, and price). Viewers will learn how to use the tool as well as the science behind the calculator.
