- 2020 Cropping year in review: Soil moisture and crop yields
Sotirios Archontoulis, ISU associate professor of agronomy will explain reasons for high and low yields in different locations and benchmark the 2020 cropping year with past years. This episode will also provide an evaluation of the current soil status, such as soil moisture levels, nitrogen and residue as well as discuss the implications for 2021.

- Value of sidedressed fluid potassium fertilizer to complement preplant fertilization in corn-soybean rotations
Antonio Mallarino, ISU agronomy professor and extension soil fertility specialist, will discuss nitrogen sidedressing for corn as a common practice. Despite a lot of Iowa research on potassium preplant fertilizer placement methods and starter for corn and soybean, no research has focused on fluid potassium sidedressing. This episode will share results of twelve trials conducted over three years to study the role of fluid potassium sidedressing for corn-soybean rotations for different preplant fertilization rates.

- Weed management update for 2021
Prashant Jha, ISU agronomy associate professor and extension weed specialist, discusses what's new in the weed management tool box. This episode covers updated research on new herbicide products for weed control in corn and soybean, cover crop termination timing, soybean row spacing for weed suppression, and first on-farm testing of two new harvest weed control technologies-chaff lining and seed destructor in Iowa soybean.
